Houston Dash vs. Seattle Reign FC

This event has already occurred.

The Houston Dash play host Seattle Reign FC at BBVA Compass Stadium tonight at 8 p.m. in a match presented by Houston Methodist. Tickets are still available at HoustonDashSoccer.com, by calling (713) 276-GOAL, or at the stadium box office.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN3 and locally on CSN Houston. Game notes for both teams are attached.

The Dash enter the game with a 5-10-3 record (18 points) after playing the Chicago Red Stars to a scoreless draw on the road last Saturday. The Dash are currently in 8th place in the NWSL standings. Seattle holds a 14-1-4 record (46 points), best in the league. The Reign are coming off a 5-0 victory over rivals Portland Thorns FC on Sunday, and can clinch the NWSL Shield for best regular season record depending on the result of the FC Kansas City vs. Washington Spirit match tonight.

Tonight is the second meeting between the two clubs. The Reign came away 2-0 victors in Seattle on April 27 behind two goals from Kim Little. The teams meet for the final time this season next Wednesday, August 6, in Seattle.

Seattle boasts the services of U.S. women’s national team stars Hope Solo, Sydney LeRoux, and Megan Rapinoe. Little, a Scottish international, is a contender for the NWSL MVP award as she leads the league with 12 goals.

Following tonight’s match, the Dash head to the Pacific Northwest for a nationally-televised match against Portland Thorns FC on Sunday and their final match against Seattle on August 6. The team then returns to Houston for their final home match of the season on August 9 against Sky Blue FC. Tickets are available at HoustonDashSoccer.com or by calling (713) 276-GOAL.
