Go Green By Biking To The Game May 11!  BBVA Compass Stadium, an AEG Facility, and the Houston Dynamo will host a Bike to the Game event on Sunday, May 11th.  Fans are encouraged to go green with an alternative method of transportation to the stadium to see the Houston Dynamo take on Real Salt Lake at 6 p.m.

Participants will meet at The Phoenix on Westheimer at 2 p.m. for the informal bike ride to BBVA Compass Stadium guided by No Promises Cycle Club. Pre-game food and drink specials will be available.  Additional bike racks will be available at the Methodist Gate and at SoccerFest.  Bike helmets are permitted inside the stadium. 

A special $100 Bike to the Game ticket package features 4 ticket to the game + 4 tickets to the Bud Light beer garden.  Groups of 10 can access a $250 ticket package, which includes 10 tickets to the game + 10 tickets to the Bud Light beer garden.  For more information or to register for the Bike to the Game event, contact Andrew Jimenez ([email protected]) or call 713-276-7521.

Sunday, May 11th will also feature the Dynamo Charities’ Bald is Beautiful campaign.  Join members of the Houston Dynamo and fans as they attempt to set the Guinness Book of World Records for hosting the largest head shaving event in a hour’s time.  Proceeds from the event benefit Curing Children’s Cancer Fund.  For more information on the Bald is Beautiful event and Mother’s Day activities, please visit

In 2013, the second AEG1EARTH sustainability report outlined AEG’s progress toward reducing the carbon footprint and environmental impact of the venues in our portfolio.  BBVA Compass Stadium’s on-going commitment to improve venue operations and the AEG1EARTH environmental best practices are important steps to achieving these reductions.


BBVA Compass Stadium, managed by AEG Facilities and part of its global network of the most elite venues worldwide, is a state-of-the-art, open-air stadium designed to host Houston Dynamo matches and Texas Southern University football games as well as additional professional, collegiate and community sporting events, concerts, exhibitions, conventions and special events. Opened on May 12, 2012, the 340,000-square foot, 22,000-seat stadium is the first soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer located in a city’s downtown district.  With its downtown location, the new stadium is a part of a true ‘Stadium District,’ which includes Minute Maid Park and the Toyota Center, as well as the George R.
