BBVA Compass Stadium Reveals New Website
Nov 14, 2013
BBVA Compass Stadium, an AEG Facilities venue, has unveiled a new website design created by venue industry specialists carbonhouse. The new site highlights the stadium’s unique open-air design, captures the energy and passion of its fans along with showcasing stunning views of downtown Houston.
“By featuring an encompassing view of downtown Houston, our goal was to design a website that captures the fan experience and physical environment that is unique to BBVA Compass Stadium,” stated Brandon Lucas, Vice President, carbonhouse.
The new site offers greater functionality, ease of navigation, social media integration and a more effective layout providing fans with essential event-related information. The new website also features a user-friendly mobile site so fans can easily access information and purchase tickets to events on the go from any mobile device.
“We want to ensure visitors to BBVA Compass Stadium have all the information they need to plan their visit at their fingertips. Our new website offers greater access to event information and ticketing as well as interactive options for downtown parking locations, hotels, local restaurants and more,” said Gina Rotolo, Marketing, PR and Booking, BBVA Compass Stadium. “We also developed a mobile version of the site so fans have the ability to view essential event details and purchase tickets from their mobile device.”
The new layout allows visitors to quickly access key event information with a streamlined upcoming events section and photo rotation area on the home page, along with direct access to the stadium’s social media feeds for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Event landing pages include topline information such as event time, ticket prices and parking information with direct links to purchase areas for AXS.com and StubHub. In addition, fans have the ability to add event information to personal calendars as well as post details, share ticket purchase and seating information and more to their social media feeds. Each page also provides an easy transition between all upcoming events with a complete list of event options as well as direct access to both Dynamo and TSU team information and schedules.
New to the website is the “Alert” section on the homepage which allows the stadium to turn on key event updates, on sale information and contest announcements. Also new to the site are links to the adidas Dynamo Team Store and the Houston Dynamo app at the top of each page as well as footer links throughout the site for AEG1Earth and AEG Facilities. The main navigation bar, visible on each page, offers comprehensive details in the drop down menu for planning your visit, guest services, premium seating, booking and more.
Upcoming events at BBVA Compass Stadium include: Texas Southern University vs. Howard November 16th; Honduras vs. Ecuador November 19th; University of Houston vs. Cincinnati November 23rd; and the Brian Ching Tribute Match December 13th.
