What: Turn Off the Lights to Support Global Energy Conservation. BBVA Compass Stadium, home of the Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, and Texas Southern University football, will participate in Earth Hour on Saturday, March 29 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Earth Hour is a simple idea that turned into a global phenomenon with hundreds of millions of people coming together to display a commitment to protect the one thing that unites us all—our planet. Houstonians are invited to join BBVA Compass Stadium, the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash and turn off all non-essential lights for one hour in a collective display of commitment to create a better future for the planet.

BBVA Compass Stadium, an AEG facilities venue, joins Earth Hour as part of the AEG1Earth initiative implemented to manage and reduce the environmental impact of AEG’s live entertainment and sports venues and events. Earth Hour is one of the many ways BBVA Compass Stadium has led the approach to sustainability and is considered a leader in transforming the building industry.
Who: BBVA Compass Stadium, managed by AEG Facilities venue and part of its global network of the most elite venues worldwide, is a state-of-the-art, open-air stadium hosts Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash matches and Texas Southern University football games as well as additional professional, collegiate and community sporting events, concerts, exhibitions, conventions and special events. The 340,000-square foot, 22,000-seat stadium is the first soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer located in a city’s downtown district.
