Gina Rotolo - Senior Director of Booking & Special Events
Gina Rotolo is responsible for booking and marketing special events for BBVA Compass Stadium. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry to the stadium. In her role, she works directly with promoters on all aspects of their event from coordinating event details to leading marketing, PR, social media and branding efforts. Along with generating revenue through a diverse schedule of sports, concerts, live entertainment, corporate and private events each year, she works in conjunction with the Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash & TSU on all of their events at the stadium to expand brand awareness and impact.
Prior to joining the stadium, Rotolo served as marketing and media relations director for the Texas Renaissance Festival and Sam Houston Race Park where she developed a variety of programming and partnerships for each property. Rotolo has worked with numerous music and entertainment festivals managing marketing and media relations for SXSW, Austin City Limits, Voo Doo Festival, the Texas Crawfish & Music Festival and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. In addition, she has managed marketing, public relations and sponsorship elements for a variety of Houston’s major sporting events including Super Bowl XXXVIII, the 2006 NBA All-Star Weekend, Big 12 College Football Championship Fan Fest, the 2005 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and the 2005 Astros National League Playoffs & World Series.
Rotolo’s work includes coverage with major news outlets including the Today Show, Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, ESPN, Katie Couric, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, LA Times, Rolling Stone, SPIN, ABC’s Nightline, CNN and many other national business, entertainment and trade publications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history/French with a minor in advertising/public relations from Texas Christian University.
